Canva & DTP Workflow

How to Convert Anu Script to Unicode and Use Telugu Fonts in Canva

Learn how to convert old Anu Script text into Unicode Telugu, upload custom fonts to Canva, and create professional designs using Telugu typography.

Understanding Anu Script and Unicode Telugu

For many years, Telugu typing and DTP work used old fonts such as Anu Script, Shree Lipi, and Modular Systems. These fonts were commonly used in printing, PageMaker, and CorelDRAW.

However, these older fonts use special character mappings instead of standard Unicode. When you copy Anu Script text into Canva, Photoshop, or social media apps, it may appear as unreadable English letters or symbols.

To fix this problem, you need to convert your old Anu Script text into Unicode Telugu before using it in modern design tools.

How to Convert Anu Script to Unicode and Use It in Canva

Step 1: Download Unicode Telugu Fonts

Choose TTF or OTF Fonts

Before creating designs in Canva, download a Unicode Telugu font that supports Telugu letters and combined characters.

Some popular Telugu fonts include:

  • Ramabhadra – Suitable for Telugu headings and titles.
  • Mandali – Good for clean and simple text.
  • Dhurjati – Useful for traditional-style designs.
  • NTR – Suitable for general Telugu content.

You can explore and download fonts from our Telugu Font Catalog or find suitable typefaces using our Font Search Tool.

Step 2: Upload Custom Fonts to Canva
